Savings Institute Bank & Trust Collects over 400 Coats

WILLIMANTIC CT (February 14, 2019) – Savings Institute Bank & Trust’s employees recently partnered with Hall Communications to collect coats to benefit three area organizations that help those in need throughout the year. The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM), Safe Futures and Killingly Community Store each received over 125 coats to keep those in the area warm during the winter.

“While winter is already here, we knew there were still many organizations in need of winter apparel,” stated Cassandra Giovanni, Marketing Manager, Savings Institute Bank & Trust. “We’re humbled by the kindness of our customers. We collected over 400 coats in a little over two weeks.”

Hall Communications stations including 97.7 WCTY, i98.3, WHICH 1310, 98.7 WNLC, WILLI AM 1400 and 100.9 K-Hits helped to spread the word about the collection at the Savings Institute branches in New London and Windham Counties.
