Each quarter of the year Savings Institute Bank & Trust employees come together to select causes to receive funds from their 100% employee-funded Caring and Giving Program. During the second quarter donations totaling nearly $4,000 went to 14 different local non-profits that treat substance abuse and mental illness. Some of the worthy organizations to receive donations included United Services of Dayville, CT, Sound Community Service, Inc. of New London, CT, CODAC of Newport, RI and Galille Mission of Narragansett.

“It’s heartwarming to see all of the worthy organizations that our employees have come together to support,” commented, Rheo Brouillard, President, and CEO.

The Caring and Giving Program began in 2000 and has donated more than $250,000 to worthwhile community organizations that employees have hand selected over that time span.
