Barry Shead Receives Robertsine Duncan Service Award

Norwich, CT – Barry Shead, Savings Institute Bank & Trust’s Norwich Branch Manager, was recently honored at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration Luncheon held by the Norwich NAACP. Barry received the Robertsine Duncan Service Award in recognition of his extensive volunteer work and community outreach.

Barry’s personal and professional life certainly exemplifies that kind of commitment."

Barry is an active member of the Norwich community, serving as a charter member of the ‘Celebrate Cultural Diversity’ event in Norwich, founding the Ralph Learned Community/Military Service Award, along with the Uniting for United Annual Food Competition and was past president of the Rotary Club of Norwich. He serves as Treasurer of the Norwich Historical Society and is a member of the GNCC. Barry lives in Woodstock with his wife, Brenda.
