Savings Institute Bank & Trust is proud to announce the winners of its Lights, Camera, Save! video contest. The contest, organized by the American Bankers Association Foundation, is a national competition that encourages teens to use video to communicate the value of saving money and inspire their peers to become lifelong savers. Savings Institute Bank & Trust hosted the first round of judging, selecting three winners. The first place winner will go on to compete at the national level for a prize up to $5,000, plus a scholarship for a teacher at their school to attend the annual Jump$tart National Educator Conference. While not going on to the national level, the second place winner will receive $100, and the third place winner will receive $50 to help further their education.

The winners were:

Third Place: Hailey Joyce of Lincoln High School in RI with ‘T’was the Morning of Black Friday’

Second Place: Sarah Brouillard of Lincoln High School in RI with ‘Quiet Your Inner Child’

First Place: Amanda Ryan of Lincoln High School in RI with ‘A Fork in the Road’

To participate, students (ages 13-18) created a video, 90-seconds or less, on saving and using money wisely.  The videos were judged on their quality, message, content and the criteria set forth by the contest's official rules. To learn more about Lights, Camera, Save!, visit
