Fraudulent Activity Update

After an extensive analysis, we have determined that ATM skimming devices were installed on the Savings Institute Bank & Trust ATM’s at the Moosup, CT and Canterbury, CT locations. The timeframes included January 7th through January 8th and January 14th through January 16th. Your Debit Card has been canceled if you used either of the ATM’s during those specific timeframes

If you have not requested a replacement card and wish to do so, please contact our Customer Service Center at 1-800-423-0142 or stop by any branch.  If you need a new card immediately you can visit our Lisbon, CT, Mansfield, CT, Westerly, RI, Hebron, CT or Tolland, CT branches, where they can issue you a new Debit Card on the spot.


In the event that you have experienced fraud on your account, please call 866-842-5208 to report the details. Refunds of the fraudulent activity are being processed as quickly as possible. In the interim, any checks presented for payment that would overdraw your account are being paid and no overdraft charges assessed.

We thank all our customers for their patience and cooperation. Law enforcement agencies have received all the evidence required to resolve this criminal activity.
