STORRS, CT - Savings Institute Bank & Trust recently received the 2016 Corporate Philanthropy Award from the University of Connecticut’s School of Fine Arts in recognition of the Bank’s commitment to supporting the Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT). CRT is the professional producing arm of the Department of Dramatic Arts at the University. For nearly a decade Savings Institute Bank & Trust has acted as the main sponsor of each season of the theatre’s programming, allowing Dramatic Arts students immersion in live productions that enrich the Tolland and Windham County communities and beyond.
“We’re proud to support Connecticut Repertory Theatre in its mission to provide a unique theatrical experience to both the UCONN Dramatic Arts students and those residing in our community. The quality of and diversity of the theatre’s productions provide not only an educational experience but a truly entertaining one as well,” commented Rheo Brouillard, CEO and President, Savings Institute Bank & Trust.
Each year the University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts Facility and Staff Advisory Committee honor a corporation or business which has demonstrated support and/or resources to the Arts at the University. This is the second time Savings Institute Bank & Trust has been honored with this award.
The Corporate Philanthropy Award was presented to Rheo Brouillard by Ann D'Alleva, Dean of the UConn School of Fine Arts.
