Jun 03, 2016

Mansfield Center, CT (JUNE 2016) – Savings Institute Bank & Trust is proud to support Joshua’s Trust 50th Anniversary celebrations through a Gold Sponsorship of the organization. The money raised by the sponsorship will help fund a number of special activities in the community to promote awareness of the Trust and celebrate its history of working in local towns.

“Savings Institute has been operating in Northeastern Connecticut for 174 years, and preserving the beauty and history of the area is an important cause to us,” remarked Teresa Prue, Vice President, and Senior Trust Officer. “We’re excited to see the events Joshua’s Trust puts on this year to celebrate its anniversary.”

Joshua’s Trust protects over 4,000 acres of land in a 14-town area of Northeastern Connecticut. Celebration events include a gala, numerous nature walks and open houses at their various locations. The Trust will participate in Connecticut Open House Day at their Atwood Farm site on June 11th from 12-4PM. A number of the outbuildings including the Weaver’s House and Blacksmith house will be open to the public. To learn more, please visit joshuastrust.org.
