Newport, RI – Savings Institute Bank & Trust, is pleased to announce that it has assembled a team of 4 Commercial Lenders that will be working out of NewportFed’s 100 Bellevue Avenue location: Tim Burns, Cristina Feden, James Cavallaro and David Williamson.

Tim Burns, Vice President/Commercial Lender at NewportFed, a division of Savings Institute Bank & Trust is responsible for originating commercial loans and managing the commercial loan relationships in Newport and Bristol Counties. His experience spans many years at NewportFed in all aspects of lending, loan servicing and collections. Tim is an active member of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce, the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce, the Newport Rugby Club and he is a Past President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians/Newport Division. Tim is a URI graduate and resides in Newport, Rhode Island with his wife, Pattie and daughters Mikaela, Mollie, and Malorie.
Cristina Feden, Vice President/Commercial Lender was previously at PNC Bank and was a Commercial Lender at First Commonwealth Bank in Pittsburgh PA. She has a BS from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the College of William & Mary. She resides in Cowesset with her husband, Jeff and their 2 children, Aubrey and Preston and is a Board Member of the Main Street Association of East Greenwich, a Coordinator for the East Greenwich Soccer Association and a member of the Leading Women of Southern New England.
James Cavallaro, Vice President/Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer is responsible for pursuing financing opportunities for the bank and to aid Commercial Real Estate Investors with their investments into the market. James has over 12 years of commercial real estate lending experience in RI “with companies such as Bank of America, Citizens Bank, and Sovereign Bank. He is a graduate of Providence College Class of 1997, Credit Trained at Fleet Bank, and currently enrolled in classes at the Massachusetts and RI Appraisal Institute. James is Board Member of the United Cerebral Palsy of RI, and a Member Contributor to RI Food Bank Annual Food Drives. He resides in Cranston with his wife, Carla and their 2 children, Michael and Christopher.
David Williamson, Vice President/Commercial Lender at NewportFed, a division of Savings Institute Bank & Trust was previously at Bank of America where he served as Vice President/Small Business Banker. He has a BS in Accounting from Johnson & Wales University and is a member of the Rhode Island CPA’s, ACFE of RI, 100 Club of RI, the Make a Difference Foundation and is involved with the Bishop Hendricken Rugby Team. David resides in North Kingstown with his wife, Leza and their twin boys, Zachary and Tyler.
